The Morecambe & Lunesdale MP has met with UK Astronaut Major Tim Peake. Major Peake will begin a 6 month visit to the International Space Station in November 2015.
David Morris MP sits on the Parliamentary Space Committee and is committed to engaging school children to learn about space.
Speaking from his Morecambe & Lunesdale constituency David Morris said, “I hope that Tim’s visit to space will engage school kids in my constituency and all over the country to become interested in space. We had a taste earlier this year when Commander Hadfield beamed back from the International Space Station photographs of Morecambe Bay, but I am sure that when Tim gets into space there will be excitement all over the country.”
