On Wednesday 7th June David Morris visited the former Frontierland site on Morecambe a promenade to mark the start of work to dismantle the Polo Tower to allow work to begin on the new retail facility being built by Opus North.
Following a meeting of the Morecambe and Lunesdale Conservative Association on Saturday (22nd April) David Morris MP was unanimously adopted as the Conservative candidate for the General Election on the 8th June.
Speaking following his re-adoption David Morris MP said:
This afternoon David Morris MP and Sajid Javid MP hosted a roundtable of Morecambe and Lunesdale businesses to discuss David’s idea of an Enterprise Zone. The meeting was hosted by DST group at their offices in Morecambe.
Further to David Morris MP’s recent calls for an Enterprise Zone to be created in Morecambe and Lunesdale following the completion of the M6 Link Road project, David is today publishing the results of the consultation with the business Community.
Following the publication of the latest CQC report this morning, where the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust were awarded a rating of Good overall and outstanding for care, David Morris MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale visited the Royal Lancaster Infirmary this afternoon.
During the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union’s statement on Tuesday, to introduce the second reading of the European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill, David Morris MP intervened on Secretary of State David Davis’ speech to put on record his views about Brexit going forward.
During Business Energy and Industrial Strategy Questions in the chamber today (Tuesday) David Morris MP asked Greg Clark, Secretary of State ,for his help in securing an Enterprise Zone following the completion of the M6 Link Road.
