The main election debate for Morecambe and Lunesdale has been given the green light for Friday 17th April at 11am. The debate is being kindly hosted by Lancaster and Morecambe Newspapers and will be covered fully in the Visitor and filmed for their website.
As this is the main debate this will be the only election debate David Morris will be participating in as his campaign diary is already full! The newspaper debate will be impartial and will ensure that a large number of people are able to watch and engage with the election process.
David Morris said: ' I am looking forward to debating with my election opponents on Friday and I am especially looking forward to challenging the Labour candidate on the lies she seems to be running her campaign on.
Far from being a poverty stricken area Morecambe and Lunesdale is booming economically and when I am out and about in the area I hear a real buzz about how the area has improved in the last five years. Unemployment is down and I have secured almost a billion pounds of investment in the last five years. People will judge me on my record which I am very proud of but I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my plans for the next five years in Morecambe and Lunesdale.
