David Morris MP has welcomed the Prime Minister’s recall of Parliament on Friday to discuss the possibility of the UK participating in Airstrikes against IS in Iraq. This comes after the Iraq Government made a formal request to the UK to ask for their assistance to combat the Islamic State.
Speaking from his constituency Office David Morris MP said:
‘I welcome the Prime Minister’s decision to recall parliament on Friday and applaud him for giving parliament a chance to decide on the Government’s action in Iraq. Too often the last Government acted on these matters without asking Parliament first and I am pleased that the Prime Minister respects parliament and his MP’s and is enabling them to debate the issue fully. I wholly support the Prime Minister in his attempt to help the Iraqi people against the terrorist state of IS.’
