The Morecambe & Lunesdale MP David Morris has wished soldier Scott Farmer good luck.
Private Farmer of 381 Supply Squadron Royal Logistics Corps, based at Alexandra Barracks, Lancaster will run 123 miles in 5 days. The run will start at Scarborough Pier and end at the Eric Morecambe Statue on 27th September.
For the final 5 miles of the run, Private Farmer will be joined by local MP David Morris and colleagues from Alexandra Barracks.
Speaking from his Morecambe & Lunesdale constituency David Morris said:
“It has been a pleasure to help Scott organise his run, to run 123 miles in 5 days is a mammoth task but I am confident Scott can do it. It will be a pleasure to accompany him on the last 5 miles of his run and to arrive with him at the Eric Morecambe Statue. I’d like to encourage people to donate to Scott’s run as all of the money raised will go to Help For Heroes.”
Private Farmer said:
"123 miles in 5 days is going to be a huge challenge for me. The help, support and encouragement received from David Morris MP has been brilliant and much appreciated. I’m sure with the continued support from David Morris, friends, family and the wider general public I will succeed and raise as much money for Help for Heroes as I can."
