The Morecambe & Lunesdale MP David Morris has wished Private Scott Farmer good luck, as he embarks on a 123 Mile run from Scarborough Pier to the Eric Morecambe Statue in Morecambe.
Scott who is a serving member of the armed forces with Royal Logistics Corps, 159 reg, 381 med sup sqn (V) based at Alexandra Barracks in Lancaster will begin the 123 mile run on Monday 23rd September. All funds raised will be donated to Help For Heroes.
Scott said:
"123 miles in 5 days is going to be a huge challenge for me. The help, support and encouragement received from David Morris MP has been brilliant and much appreciated. I’m sure with the continued support from David Morris, friends, family and the wider general public I will succeed and raise as much money for Help for Heroes as I can."
David Morris MP said:
“I have a massive amount of respect for Scott, to run 123 miles in 5 days is going to be a huge challenge but one he has prepared well for. It’s like running a marathon each day of the week.”
