The Morecambe & Lunesdale MP David Morris will support fellow Conservative MP James Wharton when he brings his Bill for an EU Referendum before the House of Commons on Friday.
David Morris MP has previously been vocal in his opposition to European Union red tape in matters relating to farming, businesses, health and safety and more recently European regulations relating to Bovine TB.
The Bill calls for a referendum on Europe before 31st December 2017 asking the question. “Do you think the United Kingdom should be a member of the European Union?”
Speaking from his Morecambe & Lunesdale constituency David Morris MP said:
“I support James with his Bill and I would like to see a referendum on Europe. Laws that originate from Europe are placing unnecessary red tape on businesses in Morecambe & Lunesdale and on our farmers in Morecambe & Lunesdale.”
David Morris is urging constituents to also register their views on Europe, by registering with the ‘Let Britain Decide’ website which is online at www.letbritaindecide.com
