On Wednesday 7th June David Morris visited the former Frontierland site on Morecambe a promenade to mark the start of work to dismantle the Polo Tower to allow work to begin on the new retail facility being built by Opus North.
David Morris said:
'I was delighted to be asked to attend the start of the Polo Tower being dismantled. For me and many people in Morecambe the Polo Tower still being there is hugely symbolic for the regeneration work that needed to take place in the town.
The town is on the up, with the completion of the M6 Link road and the Polo Tower finally coming down it shows the last bastion for labour neglect in our town being removed. Morecambe is on the up and it is well and truly open for business
